- The Government intends to award a 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Firm Fixed Price contract for Vise, Bench and Pipe, NSN: 5120-01-140-2395, which will be used on the Hydraulic System Test and Repair Unit (HSTRU). The vise shall: a. Operate in accordance with the manufacturers standard operating procedures. b. Have jaws that will withstand a load of no less than 1600 inch pounds without distortion of the vise or any components. c. Have jaw faces that are a Rockwell C hardness of 52 to 58. d. Have a vise screw that has a yield strength of no less than 60,000 psi and a tensile strength of no less than 80,000 psi. e. Be no greater than 16 inches wide by 7 inches deep by 7 1/4 inches high. f. have a jaw width of no less than 4.00 inches. g. have a Jaw opening of no less than 4.00 inches. h. be capable of securely gripping standard pipe sizes ? inch nominal to 2 ? inch nominal. i. Be a weight of no more than 35 pounds. j. Consist of a body with back jaw, front jaw, vise screw, nut, sliding member, screw handle, base, jaw facings and jaw caps. The maximum quantity will be 1000 each. The minimum guaranteed quantity is 50 each. All quantities will be delivered to New Cumberland, PA. FOB Destination. Inspection and acceptance will be at Source. Estimated solicitation release date is 1 Nov 2004. Caution: This soli citation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodi cally access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendment and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and re sult in rejection of your proposal.
