- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1005-588185 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 01-24. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333315 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Serial Number/Location: NJE-18120, Room 1843., 12, MO; LI 005, To provide comprehensive maintenance for 1 Canon NP6230 copier, to include 6,000 copies; excess at .0141. PERIOD COVERED: OCTOBER 20, 2004 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2005. Serial Number/Location: NGM-13723, Room 3831A, 12, MO; LI 006, To provide comprehensive maintenance for 2 C3200 Canon Color Copiers, to include 5,000 copies, excess at .05840. PERIOD COVERED: OCTOBER 20, 2004 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2005. Serial Number/Locations: MSK-08574, Room 5820 & MSK-08570, Room 5820., 24, MO; For this solicitation, Department of State intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing quotes, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. Department of State is taking this action in a an effort to improve vendor access and awareness of requests while expediting its ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time offers. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their offer using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make an offer on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. CCR Requirement - Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award could be made to them. Requirements: (1) 100% Unconditional Credit Guarantee; (2) Company must have maximum 2 hour call response time to all copiers regardless of location or one free month of service for that unit; (3) Company must have next day delivery and installation for all parts ordered on non-operational copiers or one month of service free for that unit; (4) Company must be official Canon authorized dealer to perform the maintenance of Canon copiers; Requirements (continued): (5) All replacement parts must be new equipment only, no remanufactured products and no gray market materials will be accepted; (6) All technicians must have a Department of State clearance and be able to enter without an escort. (7) Company must have 24 hour availability for repair of Front Office copier.
