- " General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF, Specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format, and drawings will be available in TIFF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. " Proposed Issue Date: October 22, 2004; bid opening date will be November 23, 2004, 2:00 PM CST. " Title of Project: Reroof historic structures: NAICS Code 238160, Small Business Size Standard 12.0 Description: The work of this contract consists of installing a new roof on HS 5, 6, 7, 10 including but not limitied to removal and disposal of existing cedar shingles and miscellaneous flashing; temporary removal, salvage, and reinstallation of existing lightning protection system; selective replacement of deteriorated board roof sheathing; installation of cedar shingles and galvanized metal flashing, installation of roof vent system; gutter replacement on HS 5, 6, 7, 10; additives on roof replacements on HS 9, 11, 12; selective fascia replacement. " Type of Procurement: A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. " Estimated price range, $250,000 to $500,000. " Time for completion, 90 calendar days. " Solicited and awarded under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (PL 100-656). Open to all small and large businesses. Large businesses shall submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan with bid.
