Description

The work required under this solicitation will consist of stabilizing existing concrete ogee weir spillway with post tensioned rock anchors. Spillway gross length is 778 feet, net length is 640 feet, with 16 tainter gates 40 feet wide by 25 feet tal l. Spillway will be anchored with total of 64 post tensioned rock anchors approx. 140 feet long. Other items consist of: installing instrumentation in existing spillway to monitor potential movements during and shortly after stressing of anchors; dewater ing stilling basin to remove fish prior to construction and to remove sediment and construction waste after construction. Canton Dam is located about 2 miles north of Canton, Oklahoma, and about 75 miles northwest of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Details of m andatory Site Visit will be announced at a later date. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about October 26, 2004, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specificatio ns, and planholders lists will be provided on CD-ROM free of charge. Registration for plans and specifications MUST BE MADE VIA OUR INTERNET HOME PAGE at www.swt.usace.army.mil; select Contracting, Current Solicitations. Plans and specs will also be avail able for download from the website. Vendors must still Register as Planholders.
