- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for synopsis of Grounds Maintenance services at Holloman AFB, NM. Required services are commercial; therefore, FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, shall apply to this acquisition. Services include, but are not limited to: grass mowing, tree removal, weed control, maintaining irrigation system, trimming, pest control, fertilizing, maintaining the golf course, maintaining common areas in Military Family Housing, maintaining xeriscaping, maintaining ammunition storage area and providing emergency and special event services. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform a comprehensive grounds maintenance service at Holloman AFB, NM. The contractor shall perform in accordance with the standards outlined in the Statement of Work. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. A Fixed Price Performance Based Requirements contract will result from the solicitation. Award selection will be based on Performance Price Tradeoff procedures. Period of performance will be for a base period and four (4) one-year option periods. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside within New Mexico. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561730. The small business size standard is $6 million. Solicitation No. FA4801-04-R-0006 will be issued as an RFP. A draft RFP will be posted on or about 9 August 2004. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting CCR Customer Service Contact Information at 1-888-227-2423. All responsible New Mexico small businesses may submit a proposal that will be considered by the 49th Contracting Squadron.
