- Description
- Contractor will 1) develop study design, survey instruments, and materials to recognize CFS; 2) conduct 12-month phone screening survey of respondents, and conduct clinical evaluations of participants who meet the eligibility standards; 3)collect, prepare, and ship specimens collected from clinical evaluation subjects to Government-designated laboratories for molecular epidemiologic studies; 4) enter surveillance data into computerized data bases that are compatible with SAS; 5) estimate incidence of CFS and other designated illnesses, etc. A new Contractor would have to provide computer-assisted telephone interviewing software and also establish clinical facilities in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia as well as hire and train new clinic staff to evaluate study subjects, etc. Consequently, it is believed that Abt Associates, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts is the sole source having the capabilities which will meet the above mentioned requirements of the CDC. It is the intent of the CDC to award a contract with Abt if this is found to be true. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-JUN-2004).
