Description
STATEMENT OF WORK: Provide supplies and services to perform monthly preventive maintenance on 5 high pressure Ingersol Rand air compressors and dryer assemblies located in bldg's B1303CC, 1274CC, and 1309CC all located @ the Naval Underwater Warfare Center, Newport RI. The PM shall commence as soon as possible following award (but not to exceed 7 days after award) and shall terminate on 30 September 2005. The service shall include but not be limited to the following: 1) Change all air filters on initial visit. 2) Change oil & filters (XL740T oil)on initial visit, all units, change oil every 50 hrs (bldg 1309, B1303) thereafter. 3) Prime oil pumps before starting. 4) Check adjust or replace belts as needed 5) Clean heat exchangers 6) Dissassemble and clean condensate blocks, reassembble using white lithium on all moving parts. Perform operational PM of units 1) Check all electrical and mechanical safety devices, adjust cut outs as needed to provide proper degree of safety. 2) Check all line fittings, tighten loose connections as needed, check all head and mounting bolts, torque as needed. Check and record interstage pressure readings, check Autostart and unloading systems and condensate drain. 3) Clean oil separator and blowdown filters/cartridges once on initial visit and than as blockage dictates. Check crankcase breather assemblies, crankcase heater assemblies. Check automatic condensate drain systems 4) Check motor amperage on all phases, grease motor bearings as needed (non-sealed bearing). 5) Maintain logs- For each unit maintain log of all work performed including hours of operation. Any problems beyond the scope of this service contract shall be forwarded to the contract officer, there shall also be a detailed proposal forwarded that shall include repairs needed, breakdown of cost of parts and labor and time required for part ordering/delivery. 6) BLDG 1274 This compressor will be operated for one hour each month as this unit does not normally operate, change oil once between now and September. Oil and filters removed from units shall be disposed in accordance with Fed EPA, State and Local Reg's. Service calls/routine Response time not to exceed 24 hours The contractor shall be responsible for responding to a maximum of 12 service calls under this contract. Service calls are limited to 8 hours for troubleshooting and repair per service call. The contractor is responsible for replacing parts/equipment that does not exceed $400 of material per service call. The contractor is responsible for the first $400 for any part that costs in excess of $400 (assuming gov't forwards a delivery order for such repairs). Service calls may include operational requirements such as starting and securing of compressor systems, isolating (including lock out/tagout), draining high pressure flasks, energizing flasks or piping systems. Service calls emergency. Repsonse time 4 hours limited to four such calls during the contract period, all other requirements are the same as routine serivce call. The Contractor shall forward upon request and prior to award names of company's for which this type of high pressure air service and repair has been performed in the past. Contractors with insufficient references regarding 3000 psi compressor repair, overhaul and service will not be considered for this work. The government reserves the right to terminate this agreement within 5 business days of the end of any month. The first two months are a guaranteed minimum.
