- ANY REQUESTS MUST BE WITH YOUR COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE AND FAX NUMBER, PLEASE NO EMAILS UNABLE TO ACCESS IT. NO SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE ACCEPTABLE. The United State Naval Academy (USNA) has a requirement for purchasing additional parts for repairing a Haas VF11 Millling Machine which was purchased from Viereck . The equipment is now being repaired at Phillips Corp DBA Viereck Company, 9135 Guilford Road, Columbia, MD 21046. This contract action is for additional supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services shall satisfy the agency?s requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice or received as a result of a notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The procurement of this highly specialized service in a competitive basis will result in a duplication of cost and time to the government.
