- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source Firm-fixed price type contract modification(s) to contract N00019-03-C-6518 with Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) for the supplies and services necessary to provide Engineering Support for the design and development of enhancements to Improved Tactical Air Launched Decoys (ITALDs) with Global Positioning System (GPS) enhancements. These enhancements include an Advanced Payload for the ITALD and the incorporation of an Independent Timing System (ITS). This requirement was originally synopsized on 03 September 2003 (Ref No. N00019-03-P1-PW113). IMI is the sole manufacturer of ITALDs, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these efforts. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22.
