Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Gerry Wixson, Germantown, MD under authority of FAR 13.106-1(B)(1), Soliciting From a Single Source, to assist NIST in developing designs for fabrication and or procurement of new equipment and the upgrading and maintenance of existing equipment, develop designs for the modification of the building occupancy plan and the installation of special electrical and mechanical services for new and upgraded equipment, market research for obtaining materials, supplies & prefabricated equipment to enhance the facility. This is a sole source requirement as Gerry Wixson was the original designer of the existing equipment A Fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about October 13, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
