Description
Sources sought for Infectious Disease Serology Testing reagents and instrumentation. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources that can supply serology testing reagents and instrumentation for the VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. The following tests are currently being performed and we are conducting market research to evaluate the availability of automated testing: Hepatitis B surface antigen, Hepatitis B surface antibody, Hepatitis B core antibody, Varicella zoster virus lgG antibody and Antinuclear antibody. In addition, the instrumentation must be able to support testing using Ortho Hepatitis C Virus ElA 3.0 reagents. The instrumentation associated with this contract must be automated, include a bi-directional interface and be capable of dispensing samples and reagents in 2 micro titer plates simultaneously to insure greatest laboratory efficiency. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Hubzone 8(a), 8(a), Hubzone, small, small disadvantaged and large business) relative to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 325413 (small business size standard is 500 employees). Please do not request a copy of the solicitation, as there is no solicitation. This is a market research sources sought only. This sources sought will not obligate the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, cage code, size of business pursuant to NAICS. If a solicitation is issued as a result of this Market Research it will be announced at a later date in the Business Opportunities System and all interested parties must respond to that announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to the prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Responses to this notice shall be mailed to the attention of Lisa Tompkins, 90NCA, Dept of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than October 15, 2004.
