- HSCG87-05-B-643000 ? Install Housing Security Fence at USCG Housing Cordova, Alaska. The intent of this project is for the contractor to furnish all equipment, materials, transportation, and labor to install approximately 1500 feet of security fence, one vehicle gate, and approximately ten standard man-gates with locks. More than 200 feet of the fence will have to be constructed in a muskeg area, requiring special considerations to minimize damage to the muskeg. This includes any preparation required to distribute the weight of any equipment, which may be used do drive fence posts and do related work, to a square foot load level not to exceed 6 inches of compression per square foot. Note: There is no road to Cordova. All shipment must be by air or sea transportation. The project completion date will be approximately 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. Depending on weather conditions the project may have to be extended. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990 and the applicable size standard is $12 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the bid opening/closing date. Solicitation documents, may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about October 15, 2004) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link to FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FEDTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FEDTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time for receipt of proposals. A plan-holders list will not be available from the Contracting Office. Vendors are encouraged to register their interest by entering their information in the Interested Vendor list for this solicitation in FedBizOpps. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside pursuant to the Small Business Act, (15 U.S.C. 631). All responsible small business concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U. S. Coast Guard.
