Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-23 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20040513. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3812 and the size standard is 750 employees. NAICS is 334511. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (The award will be less than $100,000) will be followed. This purchase will be for two (2) XPDR/IFF/TACAN/DME Ramp Test Sets with the following salient characteristics: The requested items have the ability to simulate both ATCRBS and MODE S intruders utilizing an easy to navigate menu and setup procedures. With preset parameters, the Ramp Test Sets will automatically acquire and track an inbound and outbound course allowing the operator to observe an intruder on their TCAS display initiating RA (Resolution Advisory) and TA (Traffic Alert) warnings. The Ramp Test Sets are battery powered portable units used to test operation of interrogators and transponders. They cover the entire frequency range from Channels 1 -126 X and Y and provide numerous Heading and Range Selections. Antenna-to-Antenna Operation permitting complete system verification tests and pass/fail criteria is provided based on programmed parameters and are included capabilities of the Ramp Test Sets.
