- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single or multiple award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the United States Penitentiary, Lee County, Virginia. Services to be provided include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, and inpatient/outpatient physician services. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with firm fixed unit prices contract. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option are as follows: Base Year - inpatient days - 5 guaranteed minimum days and 111 estimated maximum days, outpatient visits - 5 guaranteed minimum visits and 165 estimated maximum outpatient visits; Option Year 1 - inpatient days - 5 guaranteed minimum days and 123 estimated maximum days, outpatient visits - 5 guaranteed minimum visits and 176 estimated maximum outpatient visits; Option Year 2 - inpatient days - 5 guaranteed minimum days and 135 estimated maximum days, outpatient visits - 5 guaranteed minimum visits and 193 estimated maximum outpatient visits; Option Year 3 - inpatient days - 5 guaranteed minimum days and 150 estimated maximum days, outpatient visits - 5 guaranteed minimum visits and 200 estimated maximum outpatient visits; Option Year 4 - inpatient days - 5 guaranteed minimum days and 150 estimated maximum days, outpatient visits - 5 guaranteed minimum visits and 200 estimated maximum outpatient visits; The solicitation will be made available on or about February 13, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about April 9, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
