Description
J. SOLE SOURCE REPAIR F110-GE-129 MAIN ENGINE CONTROL One-time fixed quantity contract is contemplated. Item 0001: Receiving, cleaning, inspection, repair, overhaul, upgrade, and testing Input/Output NSN 2915-01-421-0998PR, P/N: 1534M52P14 and/or 8062-926 and/or NSN 2915-01-448-3117PR, P/N: 1534M52P16 and/or 8062-928. Item 0002: G009 reporting required. Applicable to: F110-GE-129 engines. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: Item 0001: 1 each per month starting 30days ARO and receipt of repairable assets. Item 0002: IAW Appendix B and DD Form 1423-1 Item Description: The MEC is a fuel operated, bypassing type, electrohydromechanical fuel flow regulator control. The MEC is mounted on the rear face of the main fuel pump. The MEC is a aluminum housing that includes torque motor servo valves, electrical solenoids, variable differential transformers, three dimensional cams, spinning pilot valves, servo valves, pressure regulators, relief valves, control valves, and a multitude of gears, shafts, and linkage arms. The control is a fueld operated, bypassing type, electro-y6dromechanical fuel flow regulator which operates in four modes: primary, secondary, hybrid and hybrid VSV to regulate fuel flow and variable stator vane (VSV) position of the engine. The control includes a speed governor which senses engine core speed and adjusts the fuel flow and necessary to maintain the desired core speed set by the throttle. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the only qualified source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the acquisition are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. A written solicitation of FA8104-04-R-0260 will be issued to Woodward Governor Co on or about 08 June 2004 and the estimated solicitation response date will be 08 Jul 2004.
