- Description
- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has designated the Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VS) to execute the ISAT Demonstration System flight experiment program. AFRL/VS is requesting proposals (technical and cost) in response to the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The objectives of this BAA include (1) continue the FDS and experiment plan design and ground based risk reduction activities of the ISAT FDS through Critical Design Review (CDR); (2) continue development of the Objective System (OS) design and performance analysis; and (3) deliver detailed cost and technical proposals for the FDS manufacture, launch support and on-orbit experiment operations. One or more contracts will be awarded for the CDR phase. If more than one award is made for CDR, then a down selection will be conducted between the CDR contractors for award of the manufacture, launch support and on-orbit operations contract. Refer to the attachments to this BAA for further requirements and proposal instructions.
