- IF YOU WOULD LIKE A MORE EASILY READABLE COPY OF THIS NOTICE, PLEASE CONTACT KARLA BENSON AT 708-786-5855, karla.benson2@MED.VA.GOV SUBJ: Sources Sought Notice for Vaginal Speculum The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing Vaginal Speculums under VA?s national standardization program. For the purpose of this announcement, the Federal Government defines a small business as an entity having 500 employees or less, including affiliates. Small businesses must have the ability to provide Vaginal Speculum to VA facilities in all 50 States and Puerto Rico. Small businesses will be required to make deliveries to VA facilities within 10-15 days from date of receipt of order. Successful contractors may be required to allow the distribution of awarded products through VA Prime Vendors for delivery to VA facilities. The minimum item(s) description requirements and values are as follows: 1. Assorted Sizes 2. Disposables 3. Light Option 4. Smooth Edges 5. Secure Locking Devices 6. Bulk and individual packaging available 7. Single Patient Use 8. Interested parties that are distributors must indicate whether they are distributing the products of large or small business manufacturers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. THE VA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SOLICIT THESE ITEMS FROM LARGE OR SMALL BUSINESSES, AS APPROPRIATE.
