- Description
- Construct Life Skills Center by completing alterations to the existing Medical Suite. Work will require furnishings all materials, labor, equipment, and other services required This requirement includes: Base Bid Work – Alterations to the existing Medical Suite, creating a new Life Skills Office Suite; Option 1 Work – Alterations to the existing second floor Delivery rooms, converting the areas into two new classrooms; Option 2 Work – Removal of existing fuel lines and trench, and installation of new fuel oil pump and piping to existing tank; and Contractors shall provide a third option, entailing the diversion of demolition and construction Waste for recycling. The general areas of work required are selective demolition for building renovation, alterations to interior finish systems, alterations to building mechanical systems, alterations to building electrical systems, alterations to building fuel system, minor site work and incidental related work. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. This proposed procurement is restricted to HUBZone Small Businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000.00. The successful contractor will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is significantly more important than price. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Offerors shall submit proposals that can be accepted solely on the basis of the initial offer as the Government may proceed with award of contract without discussion. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 23 July 2004 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. It is anticipated that the following viewers will be needed to view the solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), WinZip (.zip or .exe), MaxView/SourceView.exe and or AutoCAD Internet format (.dwf). More information concerning these viewers can be found on the FedBizOps website. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNs number. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. A site visit is being tentatively scheduled for 5 August 2004. The date for the site visit will be set and/or confirmed in the official solicitation.
