- FISC San Diego Regional Contracting Department is announcing its intent to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), N00244-04-R-0085, for the following material: F18 Inboard thrust engine mounts, Left (15) each, p/n: 74A501246-1003 and F18 Inboard thrust engine mounts, Right (15) each, p/n: 74A501246-1004; The OEM?s are McDonnell Douglas (76301) and Northrop Grumman (76823); Naics: 336412 is applicable with a business size of 1,000 employees. Inspection and acceptance will be performed by the Government at Destination. Upon award of a contract the Government may require a Government Engineering Inspection team to inspect the contractor?s facility during the manufacturing process and during FAI processes. First Article Inspection clauses and provisions will be applied. The engine mounts are required to be machine forged titanium per applicable specifications. Electronic copies of the part number drawings will be made available. The Government is seeking proposals on ?New? material only. Proposals based on new unused surplus may be accepted with all applicable Certificates of Conformance subject to FAR 52.24! 6-15. Traceability of all material back to the OEM would be required. The Government intends to award a Single Award Firm Fixed Price contract for the required material. Qualified contractors that can provide this type of material are encouraged to submit a response to this RFP. The RFP will be available for review and downloading at the following websites: www.neco.navy.mil and www.fedbizopps.gov on or about October 12, 2004. The solicitation period closes on COB 1600 PM, PST, November 10, 2004. This notice is issued as restricted. Contact Ralph A.
