- The Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award under the authority of FAR 13.501 to Bauer Compressors, Inc., Hayward, CA, for a mobile, dual drive SCBA fill system. The complete system shall consist of a high pressure compressor, two prime move rs provided with separate control circuits, purification system, system control panel, storage system, air control panel, three position SCBA fill station and a highway rated trailer. The anticipated award date is 29 September 2004. This is a combined syno psis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a wri tten solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation serves as the Request for Quotation. Provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to OfferorsCommercial Items and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. B est Value to the Government will be used to evaluate offers. This includes, but is not limited to, the best price when considering the merits of all offers. Offers need to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and C ertification-Commercial Items and descriptive literature of items being quoted with their offer. Offers must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration and should include their DUNS number, Cage Code and Federal Tax ID number. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date.
