- The 354th Contracting Squadron intends to proceed to award a sole source acquisition to Alaska Roteq Corporation, 2051 Foundry Way, Wasilla, AK 99654-8258. The requirement is to Rebuild Two Worthington Pumps for the Power Plant on Clear AS. This requirement is proprietary in nature. The Clear AFS power plant requires a contractor to accomplish complete overhaul and repair of two (2) each model 4-UZ-1 Worthington Condenser Hotwell Pumps. The scope of work includes: Shipping to contractors repair facilities from Clear AFS, Alaska, Disassemble bundle complete, Hydroblast parts to clean for inspection, Clean all components, LPI inspect all cast components, Perform complete dimensional inspection per GS-6002, Coat impeller eye wear rings with TAFA applied FS 5310 coating per TSPS-1002 and WAS 105, True cut diffuser wear rings and 1st and 4th stage wear rings, Coat impeller space sleeves with TAFA applied FS 5310 coating perTSPS-1002 and WAS 105, True cut diffuser bushings, Coat center sleeve with TAFA applied FS 5310 coating perTSPS-1002 and WAS 105, True cut center stage bushing, Straighten or replace shaft as necessary, Repair locations on shaft with TAFA applied per WAS 105, Assemble rotor complete for balancing and document TIR at each stage, Balance rotor to ? 4W/N per BP 6000, BP 6001 and BP 6002, Disassemble rotor, Assemble bundle complete per AP-6002, Final QC and documentation, Prepare for storage and shipment per PA-6002, Shipping back to Clear AFS from repair facilities. The Contractor will furnish a written report, which states the following: a) Conditions noted. b) List of repairs accomplished. c) Verify that measured tolerances are within factory tolerances. d) Shall provide copies of all reference manuals, drawings and specifications necessary to accomplish this work. Other factors: a) The Contractor shall be required to commence work under this contract within seven (7) calendar days after the date Contractor receives the notice to proceed, prosecute the work diligently, and complete the entire work ready for use not later than 15 November 2004. b) One-year warranty on all repairs is required. Warranty to cover re-performing any defective service or workmanship and will conform to any mutually agree upon specifications for a period of one year from date of completion of service. The forthcoming RFP document, Reference No: FA5004-04-T-0039, and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2001-06. This acquisition has a NAICS code of 333911, SIC of 3561, Employee Standard/Size Standard of 500, and FSC of J099. Contractor must also be CCR registered to receive the aforementioned award. Commercial practices still apply. The expected Period of Performance will be from on/about 22 September 2004 thru 14 November 2004. This Special Notice is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation documents issued for the proposed action. Interested parties may identify their interest and respond to the Special Notice. The Government will consider all expressions of interest received within six (6) days after date of publication of this Special Notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
