- The 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan is seeking sources for contractor support for spill response and clean up. This procurement will be unrestricted. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Fed Biz Ops. No solicitation is currently available. The contractor would be responsible for providing training, personnel, materials and equipment capable of responding to chemical spills as well as have a 24hr/day full response capability being en-route within one hour of notification. The contractor would also handle and manage a wide variety of hazardous, special, and non-hazardous substances and chemicals; excluding radioactive waste, infectious waste, food waste and ordnance disposal. The contractor would provide, store and maintain materials and equipment capable of containment and clean up of all spills including a reasonable worst-case scenario based on potential incidents and operations at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.
