This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is FA4809-04-Q-0425. The NAICS code 423710 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 500 employees. The item description is as follows: CLIN 0001: Purchase and installation of BEST Access Systems B.A.S.I.S. V Mortise Locks with Keypad and Common Access Card (CAC) capabililties, quantity 40 Ea. CLIN 0002: Auto Sync Cable, quantity 1 Ea. CLIN 0003: Personal Data Assistant (PDA), quantity 1 Ea. CLIN 0004: PDA Cable, quantity 1 Ea. CLIN 0005: Magnetic Stripe Encoder, quantity 1 Ea. The work covered by this specification consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to purchase and install mortise locks for the flight line gates of Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. Required locks must have keypad and Common Access Card (CAC) capabilities. In addition, a PDA is required to encode the system. Contractor shall perform the installation during normal duty hours. All work schedule deviations shall be coordinated with the end user. 2. The contractor shall provide the following services: a. One year warranty on all electronic and software materials installed. b. Conduct 2 system onsite training classes. c. Provide a full 3 year warranty on all installed mechanical locks. d. Provide 90 day warranty on all labor and workmanship. 3. Purchase and installation includes (40) mortise locks with keypad and CAC functions, (1) auto sync cable, (1) PDA, (1) PDA cable, (1) magnetic strip encoder, and (1) data import and compatible software. 4. A site visit will be conducted on 24 September 2004 at 10:00 am. All prospective bidders must be in attendance if interested in submitting a proposal.
