Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The government intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order with AAR Mobility Systems, 201 Haynes Street, Cadillac, MI 49601 for ISU-901 High Security Containers with M4 and 9MM weapons racks with frame supports, two each, for USSOCOM at MacDill AFB, FL. MacDill AFB intends to issue a purchase order to under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the existing agency requirements. This is the only manufacturer of this container which is certified by the U.S. Air Force for both fixed-wing and rotor-wing transportation. Additionally, the container can be transported with a helicopter sling load. This notice constitutes the only announcement; a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS Code is 332990 and small business size standard is 500 employees. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24, applicable FAR and DFARS clauses are 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001, 252.232-7003, and provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ?
