AMENDMENT 0001 HAS BEEN UPLOADED TO ADD LINE ITEM 0011, INCORPORATE REVISED SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDE DRAWINGS AND EXTEND DUE DATE TO 10/12/04........ Drydock Repairs NOAA Ship Delaware II to be performed at the contractor's facility. Performance period to commence on or about November 16, 2004, and shall be completed on or before January 7, 2005, (53 calendar days). Basic contract items are Drydocking and routine drydock work, temporary services, valve overhaul and test, underwater body coating maintenance system, underwater hull zinc anode renewal, hydrostatic pressure test, steel and piping replacement, watertight door and hatch replacement, number 5 ballast tank preservation, footpad replacement, scanmar transducer installation and option items, generator overhaul and stern door hydraulic cylinder replacement. NOAA Ship Delaware II will be available for inspection on September 3, 2004 at 0900 hours at the Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA. Arrangements for the inspection may be made by contacting the COTR at (508) 495-2347. Drawings, pictures and detailed specifications will be provided as a part of the solicitation. Characteristics of the NOAA Ship Delaware II: Length Overall - 155'-6", Beam (Molded) - 30', Draft, Design - 16'-6", Draft, Design - 16'-6", Depth to main deck - 22 feet, Propulsion - Single crew, Speed Sustained - 10 knots, Crew size - 15 Length. For the purpose of this acquisition, NOAA EASC will be using the Small Business Cascading Evaluation Preference Process, a streamlining process that has been endorsed by the Small Business Administration and has been used successfully by several federal agencies. The cascading approach permits the government to continue the acquisition process without disruption in the event a sufficient number of qualified small business participation is not realized. Large businesses are put on notice that, if a sufficient number of eligible small business offers are received, large business proposals received will not be considered for award. If offers from qualified small business concerns are not received for the services specified within the solicitation, the award will be made on the basis of a "full and open" competition from among all the responsible businesses submitting offers." All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be available on line. All interested businesses shall download the solicitation after 8/27/04. Interested businesses are asked to notify Contracting Officer that they have downloaded the solicitation by e-mail to michele.a.mccoy@noaa.gov.
