- Description
- The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) plans to award a sole source modification for a six-month extension to include one six-month option, to Texas Research Institute in support of the Nondestructive Testing Information Analysis Center (NTIAC) under contract SP0700-97-D-4003. Texas Research Institute is the only source to provide NTIAC services within the required timeframe. This action represents a bridge extension until a competitive follow-on acquisition is awarded. Texas Research Institute has the operation capability in place to provide for continuous DoD-wide demand for technical support in the area of Nondestructive Testing/Inspection and Evaluation. Award to any other source would require transition and start-up time that would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling ongoing critical agency requirements. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and should not be a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1).
