Description
1. The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to questions as follows: Tasks 2. Based on input from applicable USDP offices and the Interagency, the contractor shall produce daily media monitoring and analysis of Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, A l Manar, Al Alam and Al Iraqiya. Question1: Are these channels to be monitorred 24/7? Response: Yes. Question2: Is there specific programs such as just the news broadcasts to be monitorred, translated and an analysis written, or will it be all programs 24/7 to include News broadcasts and any other applicable programs containing politically related discussions? Response: 24/7 or channels provided. Question3: You've mentioned Native and non-Native Linguits would write an analysis on the material being t ranslated, is there any restrictions on use of actual trained Intelligence Analysts to write the Analysis after material translation? Response: No, but main interest is best possible contextual translations and analysis of changes in tone. Tasks 8. Pro cure advanced database warehousing network to store up to 12 days of video/audio material from six networks. This system is being procured under a different contract. Question 1: Would you like this data be shared with other agencies (such as video, audi o and word files that maybe searched in English keywords rather than just Arabic), such as access through a secured password protected website? Or is this just for in house Linguists' and Analysts' use to develop products? Response: In house. Question 2: After the 12 days, what do you want happenned with the data? Response: Deleted except for that saved by linguist in a separate file. Question 3: Will you like this data be archived after the 12 days, recorded on applicable media for future return and r eference? Response: Not a current requirement except for saved data selected by linguist. 3- Work is to be performed at facilities in or around the Military District of Washington. Question 1: Will the government provide a facility, office work space a nd computer equipment for staff to conduct this project or all is to be provided by the offerror winning the contract? Response: No. 2. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
