- Description
- Work involves towing the T/S EMPIRE STATE from State University of New York Maritime Academy, Ft. Schuyler, Bronx, NY, to a suitable drydock for repairs and redelivery to Ft. Schuyler after completion. Work includes but is not limited to: drydocking the vessel, replacement of expansion joints, open and inspect sea valves, taking of rudder clearances and performing rudder test, tailshaft and stern tube inspection, ultrasonic gauging of steel, propeller inspection and cleaning, blasting and coating of the hull, cleaning fathometer trunks, anchor chains and lockers, replacement of hull anodes, inspection of cathodic protection system, fuel and ballast tank inspection, permanent mud ballast coupon check, coating fresh water tanks, replace galley deck covering, condenser repairs, forepeak and ballast double bottom tank touch-up, relocation of Marisat antenna, and cargo hatch inspection.
