Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon Company (cage 94404), Portsmouth, RI 02871. The purpose of the proposed BOA and all subsequent delivery orders under it is to procure the AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS), logistics and training, technical manuals, sustaining engineering and ALFS Design Agent Support . The proposed acquisition is for a sonar system for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the ALFS are proprietary to Raytheon Company, Portsmouth, RI. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this sonar system under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
