Description
The principle components of the work include: furnishing of valves, fabrication of piping, and the work to replace the existing 8-inch diameter bypass valve and downstream 8-inch diameter, 90 degree bypass valve piping elbow with a two valve configuration. Because the existing valve is under reservoir head, services provided by Petersen Products Co., P.O. Box 340, 421 Wheeler Ave., Fredonia, WI 53021, or equal that utilizes hot tapping methods to insert an inflatable rubber bladder will be required to perform work. The work is located at Bonny Dam, approximately 24 miles north of Burlington, Colorado in Yuma County. The work must be completed within 60 days from Receipt of Notice To Proceed. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) package will be available on or around September 24, 2004 and quotes are tentatively due in the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, 316 North 26th Street, Billings MT 59101 on or before Close of Business (COB) October 15, 2004. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $25,000 to $100,000. There is no charge for the first copy of this solicitation, and additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each set. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This acquisition is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Prospective quoters desiring to visit the site should contact Mr. Carl Koenig at (308) 345-4400. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 237110. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1629. The Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 million. This specification and drawings will be not posted to the internet; however a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy. Requests for the RFQ should be faxed to the attention of Hart Blackeagle or Vaschelle LaForge at (406) 247-7798. All requests should include the name of the business, street address, fax and phone numbers, Dun and Bradstreet Numbers, and Federal Tax Identification Numbers. Note: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
