- This is notice of intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Design and Production, Incorporated to procure a design and fabrication of a new diorama featuring an AH-6 Little Bird at the Airborne and Special Operat ions Museum (ASOM) located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Delivery is required by 19 March 2005. The contractor must provide all resources necessary, including but not limited to, all labor, material, travel, and expenses to construct, deliver and insta ll an AH6 diorama and two exhibit panels. The ASOM is a 60,000 square foot Army museum. The exhibit gallery is managed by the Army and comprises a 23,000 square foot depiction of the history of American Airborne and Special Operations Forces. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a notice of intent to place a firm-fixed price contract with Design and Production, Incorporated, Lorton, Virginia. Response to this notice will be used to determine whether a bona fide compe tition exists and whether a formal solicitation is appropriate. Written responses, which include prices and sufficient technical data to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received in this office within five (5) calendar days after publ ication of this notice. If no written responses are received within the time specified, a contract will be placed with Design and Production, Incorporated, Lorton, Virginia. A request for a solicitation will not be considered a response. A determination b y the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
