Description
The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Services contract for Paint and Body Work of Wildland Firefighting Vehicles. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F77EMP421901 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside with a National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) code of 811121 and a business size standard of $6,000,000.00. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. Contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, parts, and labor necessary to provide paint and bodywork refurbishment of five 4x4 wildland fire engines and six heavy duty (5-Ton) transport trucks. The government will provide transportation of the vehicles to/from the contractor's facility. Contractor's facility shall be located within 65 miles of Eglin AFB FL and will be of a capacity to handle paint and bodywork of large vehicles of this type in accordance with industry standards. Period of performance will conclude 90 days from contract award date. The requirements are CLIN 0001, Fire Engine 80; CLIN 0002, Fire Engine 81; CLIN 0003, Fire Engine 35; CLIN 0004, Fire Engine 22; CLIN 0005, Fire Engine 95; CLIN 0006, Transport Vehicle 50; CLIN 0007, Transport Vehicle 60; CLIN 0008, Transport Vehicle 58; CLIN 0009, Transport Vehicle 54; CLIN 0010, Transport Vehicle 56; CLIN 0011, Transport Vehicle 70. An opportunity to view subject vehicles shall be provided on 16 Sep 04 at 0800 (8:00 A.M.) Central Standard Time at the Jackson Guard facility. All prospective contractors who wish to attend shall notify the contracting office NLT 1600 (4:00 P.M.) Central Standard Time, 15 Sep 04.
