Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F63MFH42110100 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote, which is due by 1630 hrs on 14 September 2004 C.S.T. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2001-24, Effective 19 July 2004 and Class Deviation 2004-o0001. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside and is under North American Industry Classification Standards (NAICS) code 332618, with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. Basic requirement: STATEMENT OF NEED INSTALL TEMPORARY CHAIN LINK FENCE BCENTENNIAL HOUSING AREA WORK ORDER # 41441 1.0. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide all plant,labor,travel,material,supervision,and administration necessary to install approximately 4,500 LF of temporary chain link fencing around the Bicentennial Housing area of Altus Air Force Base. 2.0. PRINCIPAL FEATURES: The work to be accomplished consists, in general of the following principal items. This does not mean that the work consists only of these items, but that it consists of these principal items along with all incidental minor work which becomes necessary to complete in order to accomplish the overall project in a satisfactory and workman like manner meeting the approval of the Contracting Officer. 2.1. Provide temporary chain link fencing around the vacant units of the Bicentennial housing area. See attached sketch/plan. General dimensions of the fence shall be 6 feet tall by 4,500 feet long with two road gates at 40 feet wide by 6 feet tall gates. Gates shall be equipped with wheeled rollers and their posts shall be set in concrete. General construction shall be steel piping and min 12 guage fabric. Installation of top and bottom rails is not required, however the fabric will require top, middle and bottom wire to tie/affix the fabric for stability. Contractor is responsible to maintain all fencing and gates to include repairing or replacing posts and fabric. 2.2. The contractor is also responsible to remove all fencing, posts, gates and accessories upon notification of the Contracting Officer. The contractor shall return the site original conditions. 3.0. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Contractor shall become familiar with the work and verify all field measurements for work to be accomplished to include: surface measurements, material required, and other necessary components/accessories or equipment to provide a complete and operational fence system. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, material, and labor to accomplish the job to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer. 4.0. Please submit quotes for a base year and one option year: Base Year: Clin 0001- will include installation, maintanence & repair for first 12 months, and tear down. Option Year: Clin 1001- will include maintanence & repair for the second year (13-24 months). Wage determination 94-2525 Rev 24 dated 23 July 2004 will be applicable to this contract. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote without discussions.
