- Description
- The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Alaska Procurement Branch, intends to procure services for the installation of electrical heat tape on two 3.6 meter satellite antennas. The contractor will be required to remove the current de-icing system and replace it with government furnished heat tape. The two antennas are located on Middleton Island, in the Gulf of Alaska. The island is only accessible by air and the contractor will have to provide its own transportation to the site. The contractor will be required to provide a heater to maintain the surface temperature of the antennas at a minimum of 45 degrees F during the installation process. The antennas must remain operational during the installation process. All interested sources should contact the contracting officer.
