- Description
- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Constrction of M-Area Control Building - NNG04072497E, which was posted on 8/3/04. You are notified that the following changes are made: Block-14 Description of Amendment ( continued ) The following provide additional information for clarity: The 4? Water line as shown on Drawing No. 14173, applies only if Bid Option No. 2 is awarded. This is not a requirement in the Basic Bid. Drawing No.14200, Sheet M-101. The Inline Fan shown ventilates the attic space. Duct for EF-2 goes to the Gooseneck through the roof as shown on detail 3/A-141. Drawing No. 14210, Sheet T-101, The hand hole at the rear of the Building is a Quazite pre-cast polymer underground hand hole. The cover is to be marked TELECOMMUNICATIONS. The four conduits shown are to be 4? diameter PVC. The depth of the hand hole is 18? below finish grade. Conduits are to be of sufficient depth to allow for entry into the facility with long radius 90 degree elbows and extend two inches above finish floor elevation. M-501 ? Mechanical room enlarged plan. The Heating unit is to be a Markell Model G1G5105, 17,000 BTU/H 208v 3ph or equivalent electric heating unit. Contractor is to ensure connection to power panel A and provide adequate Breaker IAW NEC. The GFE Air compressor to be installed by the contractor is a model Quincy QE-10 with 10HP Motor. The Compressor will be mounted to a 5?-0? x 3?-0? concrete pad shown on sheet S-101. The Air main is to be 1-1/2?. Unit to be permanently mounted and anchored with Vibration elimination pads. ADD: Note for Bid Option No. 2 Sprinkler System: Attic space to be sprinkled IAW NFPA 13, same hazard class as main facility. Provide electric heat strips firmly attached to pipe with automatic sensor for control of temperature. Heat strip shall be of adequate rating to prevent freezing of pipe. Provide power from panel A, with breaker of adequate size for the heat strip provided IAW NEC. All conduit shall be ? inch with junction boxes labeled for FIRE. Breaker shall be indicated in RED and labeled for Sprinkler Tape. Kitchen sink shall be under counter type Kohler Model K-6536-3 with Kohler Model K-15170 faucet and mirror finish. The materials shall be cast iron. The size shall be 36 x 25 x 6 inches deep bowls. Bowls shall be coated externally with non-marring mastic. Delete: Drawing No. 14210, Sheet T-101, Note 1. second sentence, delete in its entirety, ?Also included is careful removal and reinstallation of existing cat 5/5e cabling?. Head / Jamb details number 4 and 5 on Drawing 14196 Sheet A-701 Delete the note for ?WINDOW RECEPTORS?. Specification section 08520, Delete paragraph 2.1.2, Subframes, in its entirety. Provide single hung aluminum windows to fit masonry openings. NOTE: All work performed under this modification shall be performed in strict compliance with all applicable provisions of the existing specifications as an integral part of this contract.
