Description
This is amendment number 01 to the combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services previously posted – The purpose of this amendment is to identify questions received and provide all interested parties with the Government’s response. The following is a list of questions received and the Government’s responses. 1. What countries are to be covered in the contractor’s response, i.e. the proposed web solution should cover which countries? Answer: The contractor response is to address all fifty of the United States of America only, no territories or foreign countries. 2. For the requirement, “zoom-able map, and driving directions”, which geographic regions must the system support (all USA states and territories)? Answer: It should include the United States; all 50 states, no foreign countries or territories. 3. Define Transactions as described in the RFQ. Is each transaction defined as a mouse or keyboard click (e.g. each zoom in/out or geocode is considered a separate transaction)? Or each time a provider is located, that is considered a transaction (follow on map navigation is part of the first transaction)? Answer: The request for providers with a response showing the list of providers meeting the selection criteria, displaying the information in sections 4.7 and 4.8 of the RFQ. Scrolling from one page to another is not considered as a separate transaction. Each set of map and/or driving directions for one provider. Zooming in and zooming out as well as jumping from one map section to another is not considered as a separate transaction. Scrolling from one page to another is not considered as a separate transaction. 4. Provide an estimate on the average number of daily updates. Answer: The average number of provider updates is 462,500 per month. Daily updates vary. If you assume a 21 day month, the average would be about 22,000 per day. 5. Is there an incumbent on this contract? What is the name of the company currently doing the work? What was the dollar value of the previous contract? Answer: No. This is a first time buy, so there is no previous contract or contractor. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (01-SEP-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
