- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for a firm fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Aero Controlex for various parts used in the Remote Operating Gear System of the USS Fort McHenry. Parts to include: eight (8) each remote actuator systems part no. 2102020-01-0436; two (2) each remote actuator systems part no. 2102020-01-0496; and two (2) each remote actuator systems part no. 2102020-01-0376. Also needed are various miscellaneous supplies listed in the solicitation. Aero Controlex is the OEM for the remote operating gear system; thus, due to compatibility issues, SRF Sasebo must procure the replacements from subject contractor. Place of delivery is Travis Air Force Base in Travis, CA. Delivery required on or before 23 August 2004. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 26 July 2004 with a closing date of 2 August 2004. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 10 days from this announcement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposed contract to be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
