- Description
- In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76 (Attachment B, B.1), dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents formal public announcement and the official start date of a standard competition on commercial activity functions of the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID) that are characterized as Biosafety Level 1 – 4 Laboratory Glassware and Associated Laundry Services. These services are performed at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at its Clifton Road campus, in Atlanta, Georgia. Within NCID, there are currently 20 FTEs currently performing the functions under study at CDC’s Clifton Road campus, 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Dr. Edward Sontag, the Contracting Officer is Jeff Napier, and the ATO is Mark Scally. The standard study is expected to be completed within 12 months of this announcement. A firm-fixed-price type contract for the base year and four (4) option years is anticipated, not to exceed 60 months. The RFP 2004-N-01171 (first draft) is anticipated to be available on fedbizopps on or about March 10, 2004. The second draft (RFP 2004-N-01171) will be available on or about May 3, 2004. Full and open competition will be used in soliciting offers for this requirement and any responsible source may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. The proposed procurement is NOT set aside for small business. The NAICS Code is 811310.
