- Description
- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP)] for Computational Sciences research and development services resulting in a 5-year period of performance consisting of a 2-year base period with three 1-year option periods. The type of contract contemplated ia Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF)Task Order contract. This procurement is a competitive Small Business Administration (SBA) Section 8(a) set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1500 employees respectively. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the Draft Request For Proposal (DRFP) is on or about September 16, 2004, followed by a presolicitation conference anticipated on or about September 30th, and release of the final RFP on or about November 2004. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/ARC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=21 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
