Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Seas Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on behalf of Combat Direction Systems Activity Dam Neck intends to procure refurbishing services for 50 electron tubes. The requirement has an acquisition method code of 2H; vendors must provide proof of their certification. The contractor shall receive 50 ?F? condition Electron Tubes (Currently Cage codes 94144 and 28287 with Part Number 106573 for the AN/SPA-25G, originally manufactured by Cardion Electronics, and further manufactured by Sechan Electronics) as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) no later than 15 days after award of the order. The GFE shipment will accompany a DDl149 detailing the serial numbers. The vendor shall refurbish those units and return them as ?A? Condition (fully operational and performing as new). The repaired tubes shall be capable of performing as a new item without necessarily having the appearance of new. The vendor shall inspect and test each electron tube to make sure it is! in ?A? condition. Eight weeks after receipt of the tubes 2-3 units shall be delivered to the government each week until all units have been repaired. Best commercial practices shall be used for packaging and shipping. The refurbished tubes shall carry the same warranty as a new electron tube, which is 12 months or 1,000 operating hours. The maximum acceptable loss is 10%. Once the units have been refurbished, the vendor may use their part number and cage code. Offerors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. This procurement will be issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set a side for small business. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334411with a size standard of 750 employees. All interested parties shall provide a copy of their CRT Certification from Navy Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) and indicate their interest and capabilities by 15 September 2004 with their quote faxed to (540) 653-7088 or e-mailed to XDS11@nswc.navy.mil, which shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-8400. This procurement is DO priority rated.
