- Description
- The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command intends to award a contract for research for the fundamental strategic direction and priorities for enhancement of national geophysical and radionuclide monitoring and verification capabilities of nucle ar weapons development and testing. Period of Performance is twenty-four (24) months. Intended Source: The National Academies, Division on Earth and Life Studies, Board on Earth Sciences and Resources, 500 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20001. The N AS is a private, non-profit, self-perpetuating society of distinguished scholars engaged in scientific and engineering research, dedicated to the furtherance of science and technology and to their use for the general welfare. Upon the authority of the cha rter granted to it by the Congress in 1863, the Academy has a mandate that requires it to advise the federal government on scientific and technical matters (FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii)). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. See Numbered Note 22.
