- Small Business in the Sunshine, a Procurement Opportunities Conference, will be held at the Sandestin Beach Hilton, Destin FL, on Wednesday, 17 November, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm CT. This conference is co-sponsored by Congressman Allen Boyd, Eglin AFB, Florida Procurement Technical Assistance Center, UWF Small Business Development Center, Veterans Business Outreach Center, and the FWB Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the conference is to help small companies learn how to do business with the Federal Government and large prime contractors. You will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from over 50 government agencies (Federal, state & local) and prime contractors. You will also have an opportunity to attend training seminars on topics such as The DOD E-Mall, IRS Hints for Small Business, The Government Formal Source Selection Process, What?s New for Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business, and more. This is not a Trade Show ? small businesses will not have exhibits. Please check the FPTAC site for any late changes in the agenda. The registration fee is $25 in advance, or $35 the day of the conference.
