Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, Michigan 48201 intends to negotiate with Carl Zeiss Microimaging, Inc. One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594, 800-633-6610 as a sole source. Carl Zeiss MicroImagining, Inc. is to provide a maintenance agreement for the LSM 510 UV Ar Dual HeNe 4PMT, ID number 91214, serial number 850427. This proposed contract action is for the system/equipment mentioned above, which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from he General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposal contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than September 15, 2004, to the contracting officer indicated above. See numbered note 22. No E-Mail request will be accepted.
