- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of coinless vending operation services for the Federal Correctional Institution located in Cumberland, Maryland. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12 month option periods for renewal. The contractor will be required to provide washer/dryer coinless vending machines, as well as, soda and snack coinless vending machines. These machines fall under class 3 type vending machines. Class 3 vending machines are located in the institution common areas for primary use by the inmate population. The solicitation will be available on or about September 14, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 14, 2004. The solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 454210 and the applicable small business size standard is $6 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
