Description

THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CANCEL COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIRELY, AND TO BE REISSUED AS BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with format Subpart 12.6 as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requisition number, FA4427-04-Q-0027, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24 and Defense DCN 20040625. The acquisition falls under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334220 the associated business employee is 750. If two (2) or more responsive, responsible and technically acceptable small or HUBZone business responds, this acquisition will be 100% set aside for small business, if not, it will be unrestricted. The government intends to solicit and award this purchase order for the following item: ITEM 0001, Headset (Military Active Noise Reduction, powered by external battery pack, auto-shut off, Mil-Spec cables and wires, headset bag and cloth ear covers, compatible with C-5A/B/C aircraft and aircrew chemical defense equipment.) MODEL DRE-6500M. MANUFACTURED BY DRE COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY. BRAND NAME ONLY; NO OTHER BRAND WILL BE ACCEPTED. The adapter must include a MIC JACK CORD KIT (Part No. 18825G-12) and a MIC CORD ASSEMBLY (Part No. 18740G-13). They must include mic-adapter kit, and adapter must include a MIC JACK CORD KIT and a MIC CORD Assembly. The quantity is 250 each. This solicitation contains one line item. FOB point is Travis Air Force Base and item to be delivered no later than 30 days upon receipt of the order. The following provisions or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instruction contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial. FAR 52.212-2-Evaluation-Items, paragraph (a) to this provision is completed as follows-Evaluation Factors: Price Only. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items, a completed copy of this provision shall be submitted with the offer. Quotes without this provision will not be considered for award. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items will be incorporated into any resultant Purchase Order by reference. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items include clauses (b) (1), (5), (7), (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (30). The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors are asked to submit their TAX ID number with their proposal. Quotes must be valid for 60 days.
