- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for the construction of a Test Integration Lab, at Eglin AFB, FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 and the size standard is $28.5M. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. This is a Performance Price Tradeoff acquisition and award will be based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work in the construction of the Test Integration Lab. The sitework for the project will include demolition of miscellaneous items; new construction will include building a pad, concrete access apron, and water and sewer utilities to serve the building. The project includes two Sensitive Compartmental Information Facility offices with dedicated lab bays, dedicated storage rooms, communication room, men’s and women’s toilet rooms, and supporting mechanical and electrical rooms. The mechanical scope of this project includes air conditioning and ventilation systems to support the Lab. The project includes men’s and women’s toilets with complete hot, cold and waste piping. The fire protection scope of this project includes providing a wet pipe fire sprinkler system. Underground electrical primary will be extended from existing base primary system to pad mount transformer. Underground electrical secondary will be extended from the transformer to the main panel in electrical room. Lightning protection system and static grounding system will be installed. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Performance period is 280 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $500K and $1M. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The request for proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal government’s electronic posting system (www.eps.gov) on or about 13 July 2004. THE ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS 13 AUG 04. No response to this notice is necessary, and no source list will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offeror are further advice that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUN number. Recommended registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. No award will be made until funds are available to mke payments under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
