Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Boulder City, NV, has a requirement to supply three species of one gallon trees, 6,000 trees of each species, which must be grown from cuttings newly collected from the lower Colorado River, Bill Williams River, and lower Gila River. Collection should be undertaken during the 2005 non-growing, dormant season, with equal numbers coming from each of the above mentioned sites. The species include: 6,000 Salix gooddingii (3,000 in gallon-size pots and 3,000 in plastic slips or tubes); 6,000 Salix exigua (3,000 in gallon-size pots and 3,000 in plastic slips or tubes); 6,000 Populus fremontii (3,000 in gallon-size pots and 3,000 in plastic slips or tubes). This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 111421. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about Aug 30, 2004, and awarded on Sept 15, 2004. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov
