- The U.S. Army Contracting Agency Dugway Proving Ground is soliciting for the purchase, delivery, and installation of a CCD camera for a Philips EM400 transmission electron microscope (TEM). The vendor is responsible for providing all hardware to con nect the camera to the TEM and the computer system. The government will provide a computer system that meets the vendor's requirements. The camera must achieve a resolution of at least 10 Angstroms (1.0 nanometer) at a magnification of 50,000 X (times) i ndicated. INDICATED means the readout on the TEMs magnification LED, not magnification at photographic enlargement. Pixel depth should be 16-bit. The camera software must be Windows XP Professional compatible. The camera and its software must be compat ible with the new Stefan-Diller.com interface card for the Philips EM400 series TEMs. The government will provide this interface board. The camera and its software must be compatible with the current version of Image Pro Plus image analysis software, a p roduct of CyberMedia. The Government already has a license for this software and the vendor is not being asked to provide it. Following successful installation, the vendor will also be required to provide on-site training in the use of the camera and ca mera software. All equipment shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination. Additional information about the equipment will be provided in solicitation W911S6-04-T-0048 to be made available on or around 31 AUG 2004 at the Army Single Face to Industry web site (h ttp://acquisition.army.mil) and the U.S. ACA, Dugway Proving Ground web site (https://www.dugway.army.mil/10-3_ContractingDivision.htm). Submission deadline for quotations is 4:00 PM MST on 8 SEP 2004.
