- SUBJECT: SOLE SOURCE ACQUSITION SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8520-04-R-40271. This solicitation document is issued as a RFP. NOUN: CONNECTOR PLUG POC: Cherisse McMillar, WR-ALC, (478) 926-0881. RESPONSE DATE TO THIS SOLICITATION IS 10 SEPTEMBER 2004. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis is for an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity for Connector Plugs applicable to the AIM-120 Missile. Buyer requests that this contract cover a period of four years from date of issuance of contract. Maximum contract quantity is 3,030 each. Initial contract order is 30 each. Contract order minimum for each out year is 1 each and the maximum order is 1000 each. NSN: 5935-04-336-9017; NOUN: Connector Plug; P/N: 44095-30P-303; DIM: 1.5? X .885? -- .865; MATERIAL: Corrosion Resistant Steel, Type 303 SE ASTM; FUNCTION: Provides Electrical Connection Between Missile and Launcher; DELIVERY: 12 months after receipt of order. LOCATION: TBD. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor will be acceptable. This is a sole/limited source procurement per USC 2304(c)(1) TO: Hi-Rel Connectors, Inc., CAGE: 34222, P/N: 44095-30P-303 or 654478-3. Justification: Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Specifications, plans, or drawings related to this procurement are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
