Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15206 intends to negotiate with JALI Medical Inc 500 West Cummings Parks, Suite 2425, Woburn, MA 01801, on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System is seeking to purchase the Magstim Standard Rapid Magnetic Stimulation Package (Rapid rate stimulation in the range of 1 to 30 Hz), which consists of 1 Rapid Unit, 2 Booster Plus modules, 1 70mm Double Coil, 1 PC controller with Session Software, 1 PCMCIA card, 1 equipment trolley, 1 Mains Leads and all connecting cables, and operations manual. System will also include 1 Coil Stand and 1 70mm Double sham coil and connecting box. This system of equipment is capable of both repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and peripheral nerve and spinal cord stimulation for both clinical research and therapeutic intervention development applications. Firms who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide an alternate system which will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer , in writing, no later than 9:00 AM on Wednesday September 8, 2004. Such notification must include a complete description of proposed system, including a written narrative statement of capability, which includes detailed technical information and other literature demonstrating the ability to meet requirements. Notification shall be mailed to Pamela Rayburg, Contracting Officer, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
